Everyone loves a cleaner house; all hate a messy and disorderly one. But, regrettably, if you own a cluttered place and want to straighten it up, it won’t be easy to find anyone to do it. Even if you do it all by yourself it will be even more difficult to keep it clean and tidy forever. Either way, talk to your family and make sure this time your weekly holidays are synchronized and schedule a house-cleaning project to transform the chaos in to order.
Remove all unwanted stuff
Do you still have that cot you used for your child who is almost 15 now? Do you own all their playthings too? What about the jacket you bought 8 years ago for Christmas? Remember when you last wore it? Take a look at the garden chair which has a broken leg so no one can sit on. It is time to give up all unnecessary things. If you think they can still be used-be honest to yourself here- donate it to charity. But, let’s face it, most of the items are old, broken and unusable. Ask a family member to call for a skip hire mill park and you can get rid of all nonsensical stuff you possess.
Stack it up better
Do you have books and magazines? Where exactly are they kept? What about all the clothes? Try and find better places and methods to keep them. Have you used all available space in your drawer? Is it okay to pile up your books on a table? Every space has a use; try the expanse under the staircase, or behind a door. But be careful when you store things, as for example, books might not survive under the stairs that well.
Keep it up
Stick to your order of things and the principle “a place for everything and everything in its place”. You can stick to innovative ways to continue this; enforce a penalty for whoever who puts things where they don’t belong. You can also design a reward system for others who keep their rooms clean and orderly. Maybe by Christmas the “best kept room” will win a prize! If you really think about it, you would only need a few minutes per day to keep things neat and tidy for a lengthy time. Once you are trained to do this in your day-to-day functions you won’t notice that you are doing it and if you do it so perfectly others in the household will also get a hang of it and will be following you in no time. Hence without an extra-effort you can make your home a cleaner, neater and tidier place than you imagine.
